Here are the top 5 mistakes to avoid when using your Gua Sha: 1. Using Gua Sha only in a downwards and upwards motion. Always start your Gua Sha from your cervical area, and outwards motion as well. 2. Applying too much pressure while using the correct techniques. Always hold your stone with 10 to 45 degrees. Go slow if you are a beginner, do 10-15 degrees. 3. Not holding your skin firmly as you use the Gua Sha stone. Avoid friction by using one hand holding your stone, the other holding your skin firmly. 4. Listen to your skin. Watch how it responds. Minor redness after is normal meaning you are doing it right and getting better circulation 5. Avoid Facial Gua Sha shortly after receiving Botox, fillers or procedures listed below. Wait 👇🏼 - 2-4 weeks after HA dermal fillers, depending on the treatment area. - 2 weeks after Botox-Type injectables. - 4-6 weeks after thread lifting procedures.
